Pimsleur Cost (2026): Plans, Free Trial and Refunds

Pimsleur costs $14.95 a month for Audio-Only, $19.95 for Premium in one language and about $20.95 for All Access, which covers all 51 languages, or $164.95 a year. One-time purchases run from $150 per level to a list price of $798 for All Access Lifetime. New customers get a 7-day free trial that needs a payment method, and the 30-day money-back guarantee excludes trial-based subscriptions and app-store purchases. Audio-Only gives the audio lessons without the Voice Coach, bonus content or streaks. Premium and All Access add the interactive tools such as flashcards, quizzes and reading lessons. App-store prices run a few cents higher than the web. Our Pimsleur review explains the plans in detail.
Is Pimsleur free?
Not permanently, but there are three ways to try it at no cost:
- Free lesson: Pimsleur lets you try the first lesson of a course for free on its website.
- 7-day free trial: Audio-Only and Premium trials cover one language, and the All Access trial covers all languages. It is for new customers only, one per customer, and needs a valid payment method and the app.
- Your library: OverDrive’s catalog lists many Pimsleur courses, so a public library card may let you borrow them. Availability varies by library, so check yours.
If the trial is not cancelled before it ends, Pimsleur charges you. Cancel before 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the last trial day, and note that cancelling during the trial ends access immediately.
Discounts and promo codes
Pimsleur’s FAQ says promo codes work on digital purchases and may not be used for subscriptions, and its terms say they have no cash value and cannot be redeemed on Apple or Google purchases. Its coupons page lists periodic offers, such as 40% off All Access Lifetime, and one code that expired on September 16, 2026. Educators can get 54% off All Access Lifetime and 30% off annual plans. Lifetime access, under its terms, is revocable, cannot be transferred and ends at your death or if support for it stops.
Cancellation and refunds
How to cancel. Sign in to your account on store.pimsleur.com, open Subscriptions and choose Cancel Subscription, then complete the form and confirm. You can also call Pimsleur at (800) 831-5497. For subscriptions bought through Apple or Google, cancel in the store at least 24 hours before renewal.
Refunds. Pimsleur’s satisfaction guarantee gives a refund within 30 days, but only on subscriptions bought directly from Pimsleur.com or through its call center that do not include a free trial of seven days or longer. It does not cover renewals, Apple or Google purchases, gifts, or any subscription offered with a trial of seven days or more, and that includes lifetime plans. To claim it, you call or email within 30 days and return a signed declaration within seven days, and processing takes four to six weeks. Pimsleur’s FAQ also says it cannot refund subscription charges. In practice, most people who start with the free trial will not be covered, so cancel on time.
